Keep the system USB drive plugged in.
If your kit runs from the supplied USB drive, leave it inserted while the laptop is on. It is the system drive, not just an installer. Do not format it or use it for another purpose.
A few common questions
Where should I start with my laptop?
Follow the instructions supplied with your kit and use its included power adapter. If the screen does not match the instructions, send me the message or a screenshot and I’ll help you work out the next step.
Will it work with my radio?
Your radio, interface, cable and software settings need to work together. Tell me your radio model and what you want to do before choosing a kit. Radio connection, audio and push-to-talk settings depend on your station.
What should I tell you about my Vector setup?
Include your Vector model, any firmware details you know and what happens when you try to connect. Let me know which WirePod kit you have.
Which Linux instructions should I follow?
Use the instructions for the distribution and version on your laptop. If you are unsure which you have, ask me before following a guide for a different system.
